Parent Engagement Opportunities

Welcome Parents!

Factory Shoals Elementary is happy to provide a resource center just for parents. Our goal is to help parents understand what their children are learning so that they are better able to help their children at home with homework and projects. We know that parent involvement makes all the difference in the success of our students.  The Title I Parent Resource Center offers a lending library where parents may borrow books and materials. We offer books on various subjects from parenting to discipline to how to help your child with homework. In addition, we have many resources to lend, such as:

  • Electronic math games
  • Electronic reading games
  • Test prep games

You may also choose many free pamphlets and information packets on various educational and parenting issues. We're here to help you and your child.  We also maintain a list of all Douglas County community resources.

Our Parent Resource Center is located in Dr. Williams' and Mrs. Brooks' office, inside of our Media Center.
