We take Drug-Free and Bully-Free Lifestyles Seriously!

Every October, Factory Shoals participates in Red Ribbon Week, spearheaded by our counselor, Mrs. Broadhead.  During Red Ribbon Week, students focus on ways to live a drug and bully-free lifestyle. Mrs. Broadhead then submits a portfolio of the week's events for the Governor's Red Ribbon Week Campaign Award, Last year, Factory Shoals won the Elementary Level Award, as well as the OVERALL State Award! On March 17th, 5 staff members and 16 students belonging to the No Place For Hate Group, traveled to the Center for Civil and Human Rights. For a second year, Factory Shoals won the Elementary Level Award!  After the ceremony, the students had the opportunity to tour the museum and learn about Civil and Human Rights. We are so proud of our Dynamic Dolphins and the stand they are taking against drugs and bullying.
